[ Help ] why some ninja have a different aweken material?

so just discover recently that my Ao which is gold +1 need this awakening material to get to gold +2 :


while my Guy (same level, gold +1) need this awakening material to get to gold +2 :



what happen? is this a bug? or they works as intended?
i notice that my tenten is the same with guy, while my asuma wb is the same with ao to reach gold +2.
if things is works as intended, why they need different material?

note, i dont remember about awaken material for my main to get +2. already +2 ;P

so if any master here read this thread, please help explain this to me.

And later Awakenings have even more varied items in them, some want Detonating Clay, some want Might Suit, some want that thingy the sound ninja wear...

It's just a way for you to have to spend more stamina and scrolls and not just farm a single item for everyone anymore.

The Food Pill is for supporting ninja with healing, while Ninja Boots is for the rest of attacking ninja

Ah! I encountered this before. Some of my ninjas require food pills while some require the boots, Baki for instance prefer the pills. I thought it was pretty weird then but...

I just ignored it ;P

does certain material affect certain stats growth? like maybe food pill will increase more taijutsu? or is it just for variety?
