Look for combos that synergize with each other, not just jutsu.

Typically for lightning the other lightning guys will do it. Sasuke is great for lightning because he's Lightning element, carries a sword, and combos like crazy. Hinata is also Lightning and also great and combos like crazy with Sasuke and Lightning guy. Kakashi is also Lightning and also combos like crazy with the other two...

Gaara, Kakazu, and Sasuke work real well. Their combo's are really good, especially with the amount of chases Kakazu has. Also Gaara is immune to most combo's, so he is a good tank.

In terms of f2p lineups-wise, Sasuke - Kimimaro - ? is a pretty decent lineup especially towards end-game. So it would be nice if you can get their frags early on. '?' can be any ninja - some ninjas I've seen includes Jugo (for the shield it gives Kimi and Sasuke), Iruka (same as Jugo, with an added buff), Sailor Sakura (Debuff, healer) and Ningendo (Gives control and reflect to the team - also what I use ;P)

Most of these lineups would have Kimimaro in position 1, Lightning Main in position 2, ? in position 3 and Sasuke taking the last position.
In other words, one possible way of arranging them is:
X - X - X
Ssk - LM - Kimi
X - ? - X

More common talents are 2 3 ? 1 3 - "?" refers to whichever chase that complements your lineup. The most common summon seen with the lineup is the Serpent summon.

Note: Since you have root of warrior (ie immunity from debuffs), if you see someone that can interrupt/control you with position 1 ninjas, wait for their combo to trigger before clicking on your mystery round 2. Allows you to get your own combos off without being stopped by the position 1 ninja.
