The progress that was made before the Maintenance or the release of Hot Topic Events isn't gonna affect the Events that will come out, which means that you won't be able to get the rewards from Events that require you to accomplish some Dailies or Missions. Make sure to read the New Event Threads next time for you to have an idea of what events are we going to have and plan ahead on what Dailies you should do and should not. To put it on another way of explanation, you will not get a salary from a job that you haven't done yet, which means you have to work first to earn something.

As for the Fateful Choice, as you can see, there is 2 side which players need to choose, either Naruto's side or Sasuke's and the winning side offers a reward to those who will rank before the event ends. Having the same items on each side gives the players the freedom to choose their sides without compromising their needs for redeeming items.
