I'm stuck on level 6 as well! I have several friends that water it daily, and I've reaped the rewards several times now, but for some reason it won't go beyond level 6...

It is growth for your rewards. Every time your reach 15 points, you will be able to choose rewards, either coupons or coins depending on the level of your tree.
