Hi! The Merged Server Ranking is based on the feature called "Ranked Battle". Once a server gets merged, there will be two different "Ranked Battle"; Single Server and Merged Server. The "Merged Server Event" is based on the Rankings for "Ranked Battle" in "Merged Server" Tab.

Also, you cannot just snipe first place for final reward. It is actually based on how much time is spent on that position.
