Hinata really became ugly, was so much better before, can't we have her appearence like it was before? I spent to get her and I liked her like it was before, what's the reason and the purpose of this change?

Because the developer said so .

They should at least give you the option to change the skins.

There was a copyright issue which lead to them being changed in appearance.

This is really old news and was talked about months if not a year ago.

I read now on Discord that there was a copyright problem (as they reported) and they made this change for this reason on Shikamaru makeout paradise, Playboy Sasuke, Hinata Dreamworld and Sailor Sakura. I wonder why did they give to Hinata and Sakura that ugly coat though. Can we at least remove it and give them a better appearance? Please :)

Option to change their skins or revert to their previous looks is not possible since it is about the copyright of the designs .. That's what Daiske said in Official Discord Channel ..

Btw its just strange when there was copyright issues that they werent't obligated to change apperance of those ninjas in all their versions at the same time, they changed chinese version, now international version and in probably one year or later they gonna change it in polish version and others.

Since there are multiple servers with multiple start dates, it is possible. Of course we don't know the agreement with Tencent and Bandai to use the designs so anything is possible and it seems like the designs will stop based on how far a server will get at the time China was when they had to change the designs.

Thats a shame im glad i didnt buy dreamworld hinata she looks so crappy now. copyright issues * they always ruin the fun. I wonder why they decided to copyright it. not like its hurting anyone. the new looks dont look good at all they ruined the fun of them :(

You copyright stuff so people don't steal your artwork unless you have to get sue them or don't care about people making money off of your work. Companies that want to use it (Tencent) makes an arrangement so that the company that owns the copyright can get money from it.

Indeed, and as they are actually different versions of those ninja in game they have to have some kind of source material to base off of instead of just going and making original designs for those characters (would have been much more appreciated). New cloak forms are from one of the movies that is covered in their copyright agreement, I believe, and sasuke suit is from the card game.

Those cloaks also can be from the land of snow arc (during the five kage summit) from the main series since they used shikamaru's chunnin spite, it would make they had to used designs from the main series only if those designs' rights expired.

You shouldn't even just buy someone just because of how they look. Esp. if they are pricey. That's a dumb reason to get anyone. Unless you are just an avid collector, but if you are, you are probably are a whale otherwise it would be impossible to get everyone.

I started collecting dreamworld Hinata during the konoha tree event just for the design (so what? sue me), a shame really.

At least I didn't waste too much on her, still wish I had spent on cave keys or something. By the way it would be a good solution for those complaining if they could get back whatever they spent .

Then that's your fault for buying her frags .. I was once tempted to buy her when she was available in Konoha Great Tree before but my only reason why i want her because of her appearance and for transformation use only .. With that motive, and the weight of things i considered, getting her frags for free is the best way and spending coupons on much better and important things is more way better specially that i am a F2P player ..

Getting what you've spent because they changed the appearance is not possible .. It is like you've bought a gum and chewed it and you wanna return it because you didn't want the flavor .. Once you purchased something in this game and if the reason is not that super viable or not heavy, then do not expect for refunds .. Specially if you spent coupons only and not ingots ..

nonsense, if graphics are of no consequence everyone would be playing ms-dos games and looking at numbers, statistics and ideograms much like the operators in the movie 'MATRIX'.

That was an unfortunate comparison, if you buy a gum that is supposed to taste like strawberry but when you chew it actually taste like ear wax you have a reason to return it.

I'd be happy if they reverted to the previous design, dunno how copyright works but if they have the license to use the character created by kishimoto for the anime/manga "naruto" shouldn't it apply to all versions?

The right to use copyrighted material is based on the duration of the agreement. Tencent, the one who developed Naruto Online, probably decided not to renew the license for those designs, which means they had to change the designs to ones based from the main series. Since multiple servers have different start dates and with both germany and our server having the changes after the 5.0 update, there might be a clause in the agreement which affects all of the other servers and when it changes based on the progress of the server.
