I started a fight in matsuri but it didnt load in properly, i waited for about 10 minutes and nothing happened, so i retreated and it counted as a loss...

You must refresh right away. Matsuri does not punish automatically losing if you refresh.

However, if you wait, your character will be auto-driven by the AI.
