There are people playing Chinese server version as their default...and they are fine with it with just using translator here and there regarding item changes or item options, stats, etc. and you want to say there is no language barrier and must know some english to play the game...sadly it's not necessary. Back in the day when I barely knew English, I still played games and was doing stuff without understanding meaning of words, though I had a friend who described me stuff, not to mention that the online game I played had local servers too, and people tended to land a help in describing or translating, so it wasn't necessary required language to play, when you got people who can help you, or people who helped.

And lets get real here, nobody will bother to use translator to translate what other dude who they are plundering, is trying to say to them.
