Im not sure about the water main but I passed that instance using a Lightning main with Sasuke, Kimimaro and Jugo, and serpent for the summon.. So i guess, you c4n also use them too together with your watermain, since watermains have the passive skill that buffs cursed marked ninjas.. try it and adjust skill, maybe it will work.
