Server population is likely a factor in finding match-ups.

Fighting Matsuri Challenge is based on level first. If you win a match it's more likely to fight someone above your level or someone who is stronger. If you loose a match you probably fight someone who is lower in level BUT he could have more power.

i know how u feel, last night i fought a 74k, 66k, 60k 18k, 16k. i was so sad not to fight any1 challenging.
i never get to fight some1 equal to me either.
im 94k on my main team. so there r very few people who r equal to me in my timezone.


the thing is, they dont want us waiting in the queue longer than necessary. so they find a close match based on wins and match us, and for people like me who end up winning too fast and dont have any1 else in the same win streak they make me wait a minute and then say o well here's some random person for u to kill.

most of the strong players finish there fights asap and afk, some of the weaker players usualy wait for the strong players to finish and then join later in the event. since it lasts 3 hours there is a lot of time for people to join

Matsuri and Sage are broken currently when it comes to things like this. Honestly instead of level based it should be power based with a +/-5 difference

Atleast then if you got a better team you could be someone of better power.

Ex. someone rocking team 7 who has more power loses to someone with water meta team who loses to a LM blitz team who has same power but was better had selecting and using his mysteries (IE SKILL)

It's definitely broken. In Matsuri I fought someone with the same power (37k) and same level. I won the match. I go in again and they put me up against a level 89 with 71k power. I get that winning makes you fight tougher opponents, but that's a little extreme.
