I'd like to report a bug on the EU S172-306 PVP bracket.

S57-73 is compeeting in the S172-306 pvp bracket, instead of the S38-S169 bracket where they belong.
Please fix this asap, it's ruining space time, matsuri and sage world battlefield.

Previous thread at http://forum.naruto.oasgames.com/en/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=20200 was closed due to discussions in CS.
This thread is not ment for discussion, it's a bug report.

Hello,

This situation is not considered a bug.
Due to this, it was not a bug report, neither was it anything else CS related.

I apologize if that was taken the wrong way, I will inform in more detail about closing of other threads, if there will be such a need

Have a nice day :)

May I ask WHY it is the way it is?

I'm not even in EU and I find the situation questionable.

If it's not a bug, then it must be intended behavior, so what is the intent? Why is it the way it is?

Yeah, I'm not even in that bracket and this situation is pretty terrible. In what world is it fair to place a server cluster that is 6+ months older with a group of newer servers? Not only that, but it goes against how every other bracket is organized.

concerning this matter: "you aren't important enough to even talk to mods" said by the one the strongest (BP) players in 57-73 + 172-302 space-time bracket, Hasahyo. I hope this is not the voice of the community and I just don't want this would set a precedent.

btw. what is the job description of moderator?

If this situation is not considered a bug, then what is it?
- Cheating on a massive scale
- Exploitation
- A big fat mistake by oasgames

or are you trying to say "it's working as intended" to cover up for one of the options above?

There are probably some of the people higher up in the food chain in S57-73. That or their code monkeys have screwed up.

Either way, let's not want the change since it may bring us loooooooong downtime due to playing with the game's code.

OAS doesn't have to acknowledge anything since they are well aware that most of the playerbase is inherently *.

Hello to everyone here,

The "issue" of brackets for S57-73 being in other set of servers than the supposed 38-169, is, as I mentioned before, not a bug.
It is caused by the servers being held by different machines (servers, so to say, or computers, if you prefer to call it that)

The brackets are set in accordance to this factor.

Have a nice day everyone, hopefully this clarifies the reasoning behind brackets being the way they are :)

so this question on the official discord regarding your statement on this
why would oasis go out of the way to do this:
we have 39 on a machine and we put servers there until 57 we stop there.
we have put the servers starting with 57 on a new machine until 73 and stop there.
we start putting servers that come after 73 on the old machine with 39 until 169.
after that we go again back to the 57-172 machine and place servers from 172 onwards to 291 there
makes no sense why they would bother to do this .
also saying because they are on different machines they can't be moved ? then explain how 295-306 who were in a different cluster were moved to 57-291 cluster . funny enough it's the same amount of servers maybe 1 short from 57-73. so the machine excuse falls pretty flat.
can you explain this?

Oasgames moved S295-306 from one PVP bracket into the S176-291 PVP bracket within a short maintenance window. There should be no problem for Oasgames to move S57-73 into their intended bracket.

I'm not able to verify your statement about shared servers, since all EU servers are behind the same loadbalanced amazon cloudfront DNS pool cdnnarutoen-gmt.oasgames.com.
But I really doubt that shared servers are the reason behind this case. This post was last edited by 105***@google at 2017-6-12 22:05

I understand that you may not like this explanation, however that's how things stand now.
No brackets were moved, neither were there any intentions of moving them, as far as I am aware.

The answer has been delivered, so further discussion is not needed. I will be closing this thread This post was last edited by Qolem at 2017-6-13 01:56
