what kind of business gives people the things they don't want before giving them the things that they do want/ask for? if you are using an email service and they give a new feature do you want the feature that formats your computer when you send an email or the feature that makes using the service easier? a company that gave the first will go out of business, a company that gave the second would have happy customers.

Oasis is acting like the first company.

They are ignoring what their users want and just adding whatever the hell they feel like when they feel like adding it. The polls gave them a chance to see what we wanted and to plan releases accordingly but they decided to use it to try and placate us and it backfired. They aren't learning from what we are saying on these forums, they are learning what our wallets are saying(just look at how much more they are offering from recharge events, this week is going to have 2 recharge events at once, they are trying harder than ever to get people to spend money).

When the fairytail game comes out i wont play it, but when it kills this game i will leave without a care and my wallet will be happier for it.

What they seem to be trying to do with the `Cross Server` feature is fix the brokenness of dying servers they have caused by constantly adding new servers and re-playing events that further widen the gap between f2p and p2p.

If they focused on finding a better solution to dying servers than just merging a couple per week and implementing better features/events, there wouldn't really be a need for cross server features, though it's nice to have cross server as it does balance out SWB.

Next thing we'll probably see is Cross Server GNW :lol

I don't think you guys understand, it was content they have to add because the updates come from China and have to be added to our version eventually, they can hold off on adding certain things but eventually Cross server sage was always going to be added. Despite the Mods many attempt to say "Our version is different" If you understand anything about game development for these sorts of games, that's how it works.

What was * though is Oasis making a poll about a feature that is mandatory, not optional.
Why they thought this was a good idea I don't know, it was bad business sense to try and gain good points with the players making them think they have a choice when they do not.

Now then, what I want to know is how does the matchmaking work, if you are say level 65, are you going to be put into a Sage event with all the other level 60 players from other servers? What sort of level range do we have to think about? Also if there is say a low level player with an unusually high amount of power, will he still be matched by level? We still have a glimmer of hope that this cross server SWB will be good. Its a longshot, speciallly when you factor in the previous cross server events. But hey you never know.

What baffles me is how this was handled. Amateurism doesn't even cover it!

And we have no official statement from Oasis on any of this. At least during the Ariesteaus gate we had an official statement. It was poorly done, but hey at least we had something. They show no respect to the community or the players and its the guys who manage the forums who take all the heat.

That's what i was trying to get across, and HOW the matching works will decide how bad it is. THe thing with the other matchings is they aren't by power. Arena is by which rank u are, matsuri seems to be win streaks.

Sadly you're right oasis is on track to be getting as bad as konami and if they do that they're screwed cause at that point everyone will just go to china not caring how far behind they'll be. Orr just play fairy tale. ;P

I don't understand how something as elaborate as Cross server sage which the community voted no for could take priority over something simple like mood scrolls in the group wheel again which we asked for. Doesn't matter what opinion you have about cross server sage, the community voted 'no'.

Oasis can tell us whatever excuse. But please don't tell us you listen to your community and act all surprised why the community is so toxic and demanding. Toxic and profit driven management produces and perpetuates a toxic community. Come on mods, don't you feel our pain as well? I know its tough being middle men/woman, but a little solidarity/sympathy with the players in things like these can't hurt. As a player I can't say I'm surprised given past experiences... but still hurts to have such a development team.

Please, I think at the very least, Oasis needs to give a formal explanation and apology on why they have disregarded their community's wishes. We all know why, but it really grinds me that they act all happy and jolly and pretend they didn't drop a bomb. Please address the elephant in the room. Remember, it's not about cross server sage, its about blatant disregard of player's wishes and feigning ignorance.

just because it has to be added at some point does not mean it had to be NOW. they could have added other things that they said they were going to give us before they gave us xserverSWB

Well that bodes well for me then if it really is by level, I'd be okay with it even by power. Matsuri starts by level and then increases the range of people you can encounter ABOVE your level depending on how well you do. Currently sage in my server is all level 90's getting the streaks with no room for anyone else to get anything, a level based cross sage will finally bring some rewards.

EDIT: Shadoblaze, I imagine they've probably put it off long enough, the poll was suppose to be an indication of "Oh players want Cross server so we can just put it in now" But because they, as usual don't understand the playerbase, they probably think enough time has passed after the poll and they probably have no choice.
