Wouldnt water main be better with Mei, Danzo Ao or is firemain for more CC basically? as you get more people to buff? Any other lineups that would be good?

The point of that Mabui/1010 team is to bomb in rnd1 and finish off 1-2 ninjas in the 2nd round. If you have decent ini for your lvl, it's probably the best team to use currently.
If you manage to pull Kage Gaara however; Sage Naruto - Kaze Gaara - and either 5 Kage Temari or Gakido would be another team you could try.

I dont think you understood my question here, i was asking, for the Mei, Danzo, Ao - Main lineup why the firemain vs watermain. As there are 2 water ninjas and one fire ninja here, wouldnt watermain be better or does the firemain have a specific purpose, as in chaos/ignite etc?
