He was using the Acupuncture mystery

1. The stat "control"(via refine etc) can provide a % chance of immunity if his is much higher than yours. This rarely comes into play but is possible.

2. What is the rest of his team? there are ninjas that can reflect debuff, for example, that might be mistaken for immunity. Knowing the rest of his team will rule out any such things.

It was Tobi, Hinata, Kakashi And Lightning Main. It said "Immune" when I tried to puncture him with Neji

I believe Root of Warrior is the second row of passives and Bloodthirsty is the third row of passives.

No... not at all. The second row consists of Anbu Special Ops, Killing Intention of Warrior and Enhancement of Lightning Style Ninja :/

The second row is a choice between buffing taitou (sword users) or lightning, or leeching. The third row is the one with Bloodthirsty on it, along with another taitou enhance skill that you may be confusing it with. This post was last edited by Niji at 2016-11-16 08:31

Yes buffing their damage and reducing their mystery cooldown if the mystery kills someone, not make them immune. Root of Warrior is a third row passive that makes them immune.

"Killing Intention of Warrior
At the beginning of combat, increase the attack of up to 3 sword-bearing ninjas from your own camp by 40% and reset a mystery's cooling for 5 rounds when the mystery kills the enemy."

"Root of Warrior
At the beginning of combat, cause in up to 3 sword-bearing ninjas from your own camp and increase attack by 20% for 2 rounds."

I double checked and you're right Root of Warrior is 3rd row passive. My mistake. The only thing I could think is that you possibly saw it incorrectly or it is in fact bugged, but I didn't see it so I don't know.

Try fighting again, preferably multiple times.
Like I said, it could be the "control" stat, if his is higher he have a chance to be immune to your status effect. However, that is only a chance even if the difference is huge, so it should get through eventually if that was the case.
If it never gets through.... then I have no idea (I don't think any amount of control will make it hard-immune)
