So my group is constantly having to fight the #1 group in the server all the time in semi-finals.

And thing is that we have pretty good players, but we're no match for them.

Is there a way that we can avoid fighting them the first round? And if possible, can this be more randomised? As much as I love my friends and their other groups, it's sad to see us losing in the semi-finals while other groups can get 2nd place just for not being matched with the #1 group.

i think maybe because group activity rate. Example:
1. group A with activity rate 110
2. group B 120,
3. group C 90 rate
4. group D 79 rate

based on that, group A will pair with group B n group C with D

i dont know if it's true, only a GUESS
correct if i'm wrong

no its not random it's a scripted code....already implemented, based on how many team there is.

based on 1st qualifying round:

1st vs 2nd
3rd vs 4th
5th vs 6th
7th vs 8th

So unless the devs implement the random function on the code for GNW's, the code it's supposed to work like that.

on my server it's always the same script running...weird do they have 2 different scripts running for low pop servers?

we only got 6 groups joining the GNW every wed and sat cause some didnt pass the activity points required, and always every saturday, those who lost 2 rounds on wednesday, always got the left side and who win on the left side automatically had a place in 2nd. so some groups in our server are trying to lose every wed to be put on left side match and got an easy 2nd place.

Yep, I tried doing that but the GMs gave me a free round, so all areas were an automatic win (RIP testing) but hoping for better matchups on Wednesday. Thank you!

I don't know if this is right or not, but it might be sorted by qualifying points on qualifying night? Like perhaps the two groups with the highest points will fight with each other first, then the next two with power, etc. Don't take my word for this, it's just a guess.

We can't win the top group, they have almost all the top 10-20 players in the server haha
so on wednesdays we troll by putting level 1 teams and main :D

why not see if there is a pattern to where they put there top people may be able to win if you out smart them by taking one of the top spots (10,8,7) they are weak on by putting 3 teams on it then go for the easier spots (6,5,3)
