In my honest opinion I say Zabuza , mainly due to the fact he can attack twice and can control someone for a turn, which is great to stop someone from setting a combo chain off.

I would probably pick Seven Swords Zabuza as well, for that control on top of the double attack. Normal Zabuza's clone can be killed pretty easily and then you lose that second attack, plus his mystery only works on standard attacks.

I believe the normal Zabuza can be useful in some specific scenarios, like Ninja Exam for example, where he can blind the enemy team (which they usually hit like a truck and have bloodlust passive).

hands down zabuza works better with most teams and has a way better passive than the normal zabuza

normal zabuza for fire main is waste cause his mystery blinds all non water ninjas.

zabuza hidden mist is better with ino and fire main for a control team, his water style prison jutsu works well with ino mind transfer and sword slashes are plus (i use them in arena only)

I don't find the 7 Swordsman one to be that useful at all. There are better options than him in pretty much any team. He's like a little bit of control/damage, but excels at neither. If you want control, Shikamaru is better. I'd rather run Suigetsu if you want the same chase, but more damage.

Normal Zabuza, however, can have his use for Ninja Exam as I don't know of that many ninjas that can cause blindness to an entire team. Who knows what event/instance/future update might require a ninja that can blind. He's not great, but he's got more uses than 7 Swordsman Zabuza, in my opinion.

I would agree the issue with normal Zabuza on a team that isn't solely water is that he blinds your team as well. Which totally defeats the purpose of if you're not running a full water team. On top of that, it's difficult to run a full water team that also does enough damage.
