GNW Choji with skillbreaks is a pretty good P1 ninja until you can get your hands on one of the ones available for coupons.

WB Asuma can be useful for blitz teams, tho mostly used in PVE nowadays

Jinchu Yagura: very useful for nature trainings

Edo Zabuza: with skillbreaks good for countering a few ninjas, tho his price is quite high

Gengetsu: a decent P1 ninja with skillbreaks, but also very very pricey, takes long to time to acquire

For a beginner I'd go for Choji first, as getting a decent P1 ninja should always be priority, and his cost is comparably low

Choji is kinda bad without skillbreaks, so you should get more frags until you can 4 star him and get his breaks. He's not a blitz tho, he needs scaling to have his damage ramped up, that takes some time, but he c*so take a beating.

Coupons: I'd recommend getting a good focus ninja first. Unfortunately there are no one really outstanding rn who would work without skillbreaks. Best P1 ninja a f2p player can get is ETR Madara, he needs skillbreaks to work. Another alternative could be Sage of 6 Paths Naruto (also needs skillbreaks), falling behind of Madara, but sometimes he can be significantly cheaper and still works semi-decently.

Personally I'd aim for Madara. Save up enough coupons to spend during a fuku rebate.
