Story of Yuki-onna

It was the Chrismas time in Konoha, but unlike any other year, there was no snow. Naruto as 7th Hokage was on his way to visit local orphanage, where he spends some time with kids. When he leaves his house, his daughter Himawari stops him and asks if she can accompany him. By the time they arrived to orphanage, Kabuto Yakushi was telling a story about Yuki-onna, the snow woman.

After hearing the story, Himawari decides to cheer everyone in the village by finding Yuki-onna and asking her to bring snow for Christmas. Naruto, who wanted to spend some time with Himawari and making her happy, remembers there were a clan who could control ice. He decides to search for any clue where he could find someone from the Yuki clan.

After searching in library and archives, he and Himawari go to Kirigakure. There they hear story about old woman living in the mountains, where snow never melts. Himawari was excited, grabbed Naruto´s and run to the mountains. As much as Himawari was excited, Kurama was making fun of Naruto for being a fool to believe such stories. However Naruto didn´t want to disappoint his daughter.

After climbing first hills, they saw many mountains in distance, however only one had white snow on it. They decided that is their goal of journey. At that moment, Kurama starts to doubt his opinions on stories they heard.

Once Naruto and Himawari reaches the snowy mountain, they see a small cabin there. On the terrace of the cabin, there was indeed an old lady sitting on rocking chair drinking hot green tea. Himawari, without second thoughts, runs to old lady and asks her if she knows about Yuki-onna. At first old lady was in shock and confused, Naruto rushes to stop Himawari and apologies for disturbing the lady. Old lady gave them warm smile and offered them tea. They started to talk and Himawari told the old lady her idea of bringing Yuki-onna and cheer everyone with snow.

After a while, when all of them finished their tea, old lady stands up from rocking chair and grabs walking *. Then she says to Himawari and Naruto: “We better set off. I’m old and can’t walk fast.” At that moment Himawari’s eyes sparkle and Naruto asks if she is really going to help them. Old lady smiles once again and says: “Of course I’m going to help you. And I forgot to introduce myself, my name is Yuki Hana”.

Upon reaching Konoha, Hana asks for small rest. She is old and this long journey put fatigue on her. Naruto tell her, she can spend her time with them in their house during her visit in Konoha. Once arriving home, Hinata was angry at first, but seeing such warm smile from old lady weakens her up and let her stay. Hana, seeing how happy and cheerful everyone in Uzumaki family is, decides to put everything she has left in her to help Himawari. She was sitting there, with smile and drop of tear in the corner of her eye, remembering her youth and her family.

Next day, Hana, Naruto and Himawari goes to the top of Konoha, at Hokage’s heads. There, Hana starts to focus and invokes her chakra. Sky starts to be cloudy and temperature quickly falls. At that moment, first snowflakes start to fall, but Hana is too old for it. She starts to shake and falls. Naruto rushes to her and Hana is crying. She didn’t want to disappoint Himawari, but she doesn’t have enough chakra for this. Naruto and Himawari explains that it doesn’t matter, when Kurama interrupts Naruto. “Share my chakra with her” he said. Naruto explains everything to Hana and she agrees. With Kurama’s chakra, Hana manages to create snowstorm which covered entire Konoha in pure white snow. In a while, storm ends as fast as it started, bright sun appears on cloudless sky. Naruto asks Hana, why she decided to help them. Hana smiles again and says: “I had a sister back in the day. Her son loved snow and playing with it. Oh, I miss my sweet nephew Haku so much”. At that moment Naruto smiled...
