Why? Why spend all that money on a computer game? I just had someone call me poor and brag to me all because he spend 600$ on computer pixels. "crying cause you cant get him". I find it funny. the low self esteem kicks in, and you realize that you can finally show a slight sign of dominance by spending hard earned money... on a kids game. If you want to spend, no one's stopping you. But if you brag about it, you're just proving something that I don't have to point out anymore. Remember guys, your "battle points" won't help you in the real world.

  • For my opinion , If we don't have players who spend money, many game don't have driving force to develop. For me, I am grateful to those people.

Many form different opinions on the topic, but let's place you in a situation where you're playing a game that you particularly enjoy, yet you are faced with a large population of individuals who spent beyond the regular amount, if you have fun, this may not be an issue for you, but It also may affect how you play, since you have no opportunity to compete with them. Now if one of these "pay to wins" start to brag/put down others simply due to the fact that they put more money into a video game, that leads towards a negative view on this group of individuals. Yes they may keep the game running, but does it truly matter if they're ruining it at the same time.

  • You need context for this affermation. People who can spend here just... can, because they earn enough to sustain all their expenses.

Usually that comment is the arrogant response you receive after a chat whine of "p2w, l2p, fite me irl with your team 7, you always target me in events, you whale". Are you sure you haven't insulted him first and then came here to satisfy your urge of payback, that you can't receive through the game?

It is true that my patience with this game has come to a near end, but I mainly enjoy placing my point of view in the eyes of others, for them to see and maybe realize the truth or lies of the statement that I make. The only true form of entertainment I seem to receive from this game is spreading my opinions, my point of views, my possible negativity, in order to receive a response of anger/hatred. But I can promise you that this post was simply due to the fact that my patience is near it's end with this game, and the community that revolves around it.

  • Just because someone said those things to you, doesn't mean others are the same. So don't target your rant on "all" the heavy spender. I'm not a spender myself, but I have to say that you take things the wrong way. This is internet, people will be a douche when they can, just forget it and let it go. If you can't, you can report him on misbehavior (if that count as misbehavior).

Well this post was made to ask the intentions of high spenders, since I am at a loss as to why one would invest such a high amount into a video game. My wording might have came off the wrong way, but I suppose video games just aren't for me. It's just that in my mindset, if I were to spend even 10$ on a game, i'd fall into a state of regret. I just feel as if your money and the money of others should be spent elsewhere.

  • Uhm... ok. So you are bothered by people's need to be first in this game to not deal with their self esteem's problem... while you are happily saying that your conception of fun and the whole reason you play here is to get flamed? Ok...

Still, you haven't answered directly to me... but after the post above don't bother with it.

    Just have a nice day.

Either you or someone else stated this, but they said that "if it makes them happy why interrupt" or something along the lines. I do agree with this statement, happiness is important for physical and emotional health, but there are other ways to achieve this happiness is all i'm saying. Yes I get angry. Yes I spread negativity when I'm pushed to my limit. and yes I may be wrong with the things I say. But if I feel like voicing my opinion, i will. have a nice day as well.

  • I asume he had Edo Minato. If he received the same amount of hate from leechers (=f2p who think they are better because they contribute absolutely nothing to a game which costs money to keep running and are flaming anyone with a jonin medal over their head) in Arena and so on, than I did after i recharged 600 for Kakashi Susano' - I am not surprised he fired back (even if I don't agree with doing this, especially not with firing the first shot).

The amount of hate, spenders receive from some f2p is surreal. Irionically, once those f2p * around long enough to collect a Ninja like Itachi Susano' they will learn the had way, how *ty it is to get flamed.

Personally, I never really cared much for what leechers think about me - nor other heavy whales. Those of us who drop several K's a month - most did make the money on their own. This already made us experience lots of hate and fake friends IRL. There is not much one can say to hurt me.

If you are asking: why do people drop so much money on Browser MMORPG / Gatcha games etc. (I aggree, those numbers would have been unthinkable just 5 years ago), the answer is: because we enjoy the game. There are plenty of people who don't get that. Just like I don't get why some of my friends IRL spend 2000 on a bottle of wine.

This is the type of response I was looking for. I understand your statements, and the points you make help me realize the intentions of certain spenders. I understand how immature certain people on this game can be, I've witnessed it a few times before. But in my opinion, this is what adds a form of entertainment to the game. Not enough people communicate to one another, and who doesn't enjoy when someone expresses their anger towards you. But the point i'm trying to make is that spending any amount of money on this game doesn't automatically give them the right to brag and feel dominant over others.

  • Thanks for showing me this thread, @a derps life.

Heavy spender toxicity is why the one account I consistently play the game on now (if you can even call it that) is severely underleveled compared to its server and as independent of the PVP atmosphere as possible.

The fun I get from this game is poking fun at the game in at in the form of ADLDICLPNO with Derps.

My form of entertainment also doesn't come from the game itself, but instead from what I make of it. I feel as if people focus too heavily on "winning" and "being the best" which is just a form of stress that you're putting on yourself. But the fun that I get from it is the anger that resides from individuals who cannot handle losing, and the individuals who would invest high amounts of money with the soul intention of surpassing someone else to display dominance.

  • Everyone can brag how much he wants. Now I am not sure if this is you on your avatar, but lets just say it is. Don't you think it is some kind of bragging (especially IRL) too? Bragging is not the problem - it should be a motivator for others. Bragging makes yourself seem bigger. Calling someone poor is intentionally trying to make another person smaller and crush their spirit. Don't get those two mixed up.

You prove a good point, but you're trying to compare reality to a game. displaying dominance in a game is not the same as displaying dominance in real life. You also claim that I am bragging? There is a saying that states "A picture is worth a thousand words" but I don't think one of those words were anything along the lines of "I'm better than you" (bragging) because in reality i'm not. Muscle doesn't make you who you are. It is just a form of progress to motivate others and better yourself. But if you were to look at the video game aspect of bragging, it wouldn't have the same effect.
