It is and for ur BP will do more scalling so ull get more battle power and the guy above me is right...the power of the keys has a connection to refines, like charma with magatamas and so on...so u have to synchronize and also wait for the rebates...always ull get few more stuff and its worth it most of the time.. Just FYI, the pack is in mystery fruit event for less (as a fruit). So make sure you have enough on hand to take advantage of that, whenever it might be, if you want to spend on keys.

Thou as it's one pack per event (which comes once a month or so), if you want to spend more on keys, this direct purchase is the way to go.

Refines are connected with purification in a way, that refine is a base and purification is a multiplier.

Charms are connected with mangatamas and rune stones in a way, that rune stones and mangatamas are base and charm is a multiplier.

There is no multiplicative connection between refines and keys (rune stones), those are 2 different system that increase stats and are additive, not multiplicative- so they are independent and don't scale with each other.

The Cave Keys are something that is great to obtain, but have you seen the Delux Charm Materials Pack? That gives an even greater discount than any other packs XD (my own opinion of course)

OP, investing in runes is always a good idea. Specially if you want to do pvp where initiative often decided the outcome of a fight.

The 900 cave key pack is not the best but not the worst either. It comes fairly often (every odd week or so). On the other hand, the tree event where you need to wait 3 days before ripping the rewards is the best value in terms of keys/coupon since it costs 799 coupons and gives you the same cave key pack.

Also use the cave keys during the rebate. If you are a f2p or very low spender, then use 200 keys during the rebate and start savinf for next month, its not really necessary to go 500 keys during the rebate.

Try to get lvl 5 or 6 initiative runes to your move 1 and 2 units and at least lvl 4 to the other 2. Then you can stop focusing on cave keys since other things will give you a better return for investment (refining/purifying, 8 gates, charms). Take into account that charms will boost the initiative/critical/injury/combo/control stats of your ninjas depending on the bonus you get through the runes and runes only. To further boost these stats (most notably) initiative, you c*e the refininf/purifying system, which also increases these stats but whose bonus are independent from your charms/runes. Finally its worth to mention that charms also give bosts to you HP/tai/nin/def/res stats depending on the lvl of your magatamas.

That pretty much summarizes the possibilities you have to boost your power. I'd recommend you focus in runes/charms while doing a bit of the rest at the same time. Then once you are satisfied focus on another system and so on. Dont neglect 8 gates in the process though, although the purple chakras are not great they are of use, specially early on and the gold/red chakra you get after a while does give you very nice bonuses.

Whatever you need is pretty much the way to go. If you still need to get your rune stones to level 5 or 6, then do so. If your charms are low, then go for charms and the Rainbow Magatama. If your refinement runes are low, then go and do those. As Jib said, there is no right or wrong answer. It's just based on your own needs. I know that my rune stones are suffering right now and I am just now waiting for another rebate to fix that.

Wait for mystery fruit event, you can buy it for 800 coupons and save 100. But if you are a casher then by all means go for it now.

The bigger question would be how much is a random rune stone level 6 pack cost (Reward for 1st place wheel of fortune).

And is that random level 6 rune stone worth more than a cave key pack?
