Han's mystery is a mis-translation. It is supposed to say "remove all shields and duration limited buffs". (Duration limited buffs refer to ones that are active for x rounds.)

Barrier buffs, being active as long as the barrier is present, does not have an x round limit, and hence not affected by han.

Similarly, self stacking buffs are also not affected, as they don't have a duration limit either.
