Poison can stack, ignite can't
People like Itachi and Sasuke can have their ignite linger for a couple of rounds. The damage of both poison and ignite are based on your ninjutsu, I think. This is from my knowledge.

yes but lets say i use water main with the tai poisen and i see after round ends 7k dmg from poisen and it cant be over 1 hit so i guss its over several hits but how many, and how many go to nxt turn if so?

Are you asking after the initial poison hits, how long will it linger?

both.. cuz lets say i hit 5 hits of poisen, does it mean 4 will do dmg on end round and 1 will continue to nxt round or it will do 1 and 4 will continue or none will continue and it will do 4 hit dmg..

example : i hit 5 hits each 1k dmg poisen (dk it only after round ends).
how much dmg will enemy suffer and the end of turn and how many stacks will pass on to nxt round?

Hi there,

The answer from Goblin is mostly correct, although neither ignite nor poison is based on ninjutsu.
First one is based on life stat of the receiving side, while the latter does fixed damage. One poison stack will last for 3 rounds. At the end of each round each poison stack does damage.

Uhm actually both of them use do something like (nin vs res) x max hp for damage calculations, you can test it very easy in duels same power, by taking off scrolls/necklace/hats and see you get different numbers. For example poisoner without book who lost few thousand ninjutsu will do less dmg per stack.

i agree with dym that i also think nin col in both dmg dealing of ignite and poisen but u answered my Q poisen last 3 round and can stack till 4 times a turn ^_^

Well that's new, I never knew ignite was fixed damage. I was almost sure it was based on ninjutsu atleast. Same for poison which is why Water Main poison was really strong.

I can't say about ignite, but poison damage is based on ninjutsu. The loading screens even have that info.

However the reason that water mains poison is strong isn't ninjutsu but her poison expert skill.

Sorry if I misinformed you about it, I will run more tests for it to make absolute sure.
What concerns ignite, from what I know it is based on max HP of the receiving side. That being said, I will also run some tests on it, to make sure.
