Change your life magatamas around to let Lee have higher HP than kurenai. (can consider removing HP magatamas for kurenai if needed)
You can try mooding too if the HP difference is small.

This worked like charm :)) easy--did 140 exam with 4 or 5 try-power little over 60k--if pain attack Lee not Kurenai--take out magatamas from Kurenai or make so that shes HP is lower then Lee

My personal reply is that is close to be impossible with less than 65k power.
If you don't own that power then go Crimson Fist and try the lee inner gates, kurenai, iruka lineup.
