Abusing the point system

We have an issue on our server. We are in no case the most populated server, nor are we in a bad need of a merge. We have 4 groups competing in GNW.1 supposedly the strongest and most active, 2nd is also very active, 3rd is active and somehow manages to wins at times even, and 4th is not very active but are competing in the war.

The issue is this - the 2nd group, the very active one, is losing the wars on wednesday on purpose so they can face the 4th group and secure 2nd spot in the gnw. They can freely do so because they won't be disqualified or anything. They lose to every group, even the most inactive one on purpose just to avoid fighting the 1st group.

Is this allowed? And if yes, is there a way to change it, so it won't just be pathetic actions.

I'm not sure if it's allowed or not, but I don't see why it wouldn't be. There would be little to no way to prevent those types of things unless they changed the point system. The solution would be a "losing battle" on Wednesdays. If the second group wants to go about losing everything, the other groups could purposely lose to the group that's trying to lose, if you get what I'm saying.

I don't really see it as something that's not allowed. I see it as just a tactic that the group leader employed to help them get more packs.

well in my opinion everything is permitted in this game...even spies...They are a part of game and they are a part of ninja way...what that guy is doing, assuring himself the second place, that's tactics right there, and i really fail to see what good's going to come from banning tactics??

Everyone would have the option to employ that tactic if they chose to - the 2nd group is just throwing out any chance they had to win 1st and settling for a better shot at 2nd.

As for spies, just whitelist members below a certain rank. ^^

It's a good idea if not a little underhanded, I feel like this is another reason why GNW could use some modifying to *e things up for the future, but this certaintly isn't against any rules.

The GNW system is horridly outdated and insufficient, there's nothing you can do about how group behave in GNW, if anything it's smart on their part.

The current GNW system punishes successful groups that are large and active and rewards weak/almost dead groups.

Even smarter is if that 4th group has less than 9 active members because even coming 4th gets you packs and no one would need to go without them ever while also putting zero effort into GNW.

lol my old group used ta do this all the time. I figured out this trick way early on and would use it to get a definite 2nd place.
