  • Trust me, we are trying our best to communicate with players:
    http://forum.naruto.oasgames.com ... 4372&extra=page%3D1

This is just step 1 of what we are trying to improve on. While I understand that the recent bugs/problems/maintenance time/etc is making the community dissatisfied, we are really trying our best to improve on our communication with our players. This isn't anything like a "post-it-to-look-like-we-care" post. We did brainstorm on how to communicate better with the community for quite some time and I think this idea is worth a look at to be honest.

My view on arena: some complained unfairness for being matched with someone with BP higher than yours, some complained long matching time, and others complained about no cross server. I don't understand how unfairness work in arena as the only stats you bring in is the initiative bonus. Without this bonus, I believe more people will be complaining about arena as it will become a battle of who used their skill first and who have a better internet connection.

As for long matching time, I believe this is due to matching to people near your rank and very few people are at that rank matching. I personally never gone beyond 5min~ for a match (I am at Kage right now). However, I believe that there is another bug affecting this matching mechanism for some people/server and we are still in the midst of investigation. T_T

I can't comment much on server merges as I'm not familiar with it and I do not want to provide any false information. This post was last edited by Narbsy at 2017-2-18 22:01 This post was last edited by Narbsy at 2017-2-18 22:06
I'm sorry but, I just can not agree with the thing about initiative.
Keeping the initiative changes the fight from "who pressed the *on first (like it should be on even conditions) and who has better internet connection" to "who spent most money and who has better internet connection "

Initiative is by far the most important stat in game, especially on similar levels, and high enough iniative advantage allows player to completely ignore the speed of skill, and formation.
When a player casts his slow skill from position 6, before your interrupt from position 1 triggers, it is definitively no fun at all, and turns what was supposed to be a match on even conditions to a one sided slaughter.

At least that's how much effect it has in normal battles, where sometimes a weaker player gets a win on because of high initiative, can't say if the effect is exactly same in the arena, because it's nearly impossible to get a match.

  • Yes, but that's true of any server of any game. Just because they get a bit less doesn't mean they don't get any at all.

Maybe instead of talking about how limited players are of lower power, thus why they keep opening new servers, maybe create content or events that allows players with lower power a chance to get coin some some other source.

Also, even if new content isn't created to allow that, they still have access to other sources where they can get coin and other resources. As I said in the previous post, of course there will be some events where they're limited, but that doesn't mean they're restricted from doing all the other things also available to them. And as far as having a limited amount of energy per day, the top players also have that same energy cap, so that point is irrelevant.

It took me two weeks to match the players on my server. That's it. If I were to make a new character now on that same server, it might take me a week longer, but I'd still be able to get my character up to my level and power as well. Players keep assuming there's some magical thing you need to do in order to gain more power and levels as quickly as possible. There isn't. The only thing you need to do is do everything, daily, until you've exhausted every manner of activity you can do.

Also, who cares how long it takes them. It doesn't matter. If this company is just going to pander to players because they don't want to take the time to build themselves up or because they feel inferior because players who started playing before them are stronger, then this game will never improve. You're always going to have people who complain that their servers are dying.

If you fill a server up, new players will outnumber the old, top players. Eventually new groups will form and people will enjoy playing together, sharing strategy and tutoring new players. Those old, top players are also just that, players, and they want to play with other people as well, regardless of power level. If there are only five people playing on a server and they're all really high ranked, don't you think they'd enjoy their server having new members rather than just keeping them as they are simply because they're too strong? Older, stronger players have experience and knowledge about the game that they can and enjoy passing on to new players, that's also a part of interacting with players through content.

I understand what you're saying, but I don't agree. It serves no purpose to have virtually empty servers just so you can make new players feel good about themselves whilst neglecting loyal (and some also paying) customers. I agree completely, and support you fully.

Constantly opening new servers while it maybe makes it a bit easier on lower levels, makes reaching high levels extremely hard, because the servers die before anyone can even reach max level.

in case of server 312 Hotsword, which I believe is still not doing that badly, only on second week GNW actually happened. Since then it's only the 3 remaining guilds over and over and over again.

It's impossible to tell how big this games player base is, but considering amount of dead servers, I can with full conviction say : not enough to justify 250+ servers running.

I do understand they are worried about new players, but what they are doing is completely removing the purpose of having high level content. This post was last edited by raf***@gmail.com at 2017-2-19 01:00
