• Of course they do. But that post wasn't intended to be for just your first few days. It's a progression for you over your first month or two in the game - and all those ninjas I mention with the exception of iruka are technically free.
  
  It's something you work on gradually over time in stages. By the time you finish that progression you should be able to pull from kage treasures and have enough scrolls saved for a rare or two.
