I would recommend Naruto Sage of six paths with his breakthrough as your P1 focus. After that, you have quite a few options. For the P2 slot, Edo itachi could be good. Some alternatives are Hashirama NY, Kabuto Sage mode, or Obito GNW. As for the p3/p4, Rin would be good. If not using him as a P2, Kabuto sage mode BT could be great here as well if Rin doesn't interest you.For example:Naruto SOSP, Edo Itachi, Main, Rin.Naruto SOSP, Kabuto Sage Mode, Main, RinNaruto SOSP, Edo itachi, main, Kabuto sage mode.

I would recommend 4 starring Choji GNW for his breakthrough using the recruit functions exchange. Some other P1s to work toward is Naruto SOSP 4 stars for his BT, or Madara ETR 4 stars for his breakthrough. For now, Choji GNW, Hashirama NY, and Rin or Guy could work well.

Madara 5 Kage summit BT is generic support. He can fit will in the p2 slot generically with any type of team. If you feel like your opponent is using a lot of mysteries, and want his barrier up to stop mysteries, that's what role he can fill. Think of it as if you were trying to fit hashirama new year into your lineup. For example: Choji GNW, Hashirama NY, and Guy as a starter team. In this instance, Hashirama is stopping mysteries. So here, you can put Madara in over Hashirama to stop even more mysteries for the round.

Minato scales from his chase attack, so a unit like genma could work with him. Shisui's barrier buffs wind units so he's alright support early on. While I don't think it'll be very good, Naruto AS also can help with critical. Some other generic supports like Guy, Tsunade Sannin, and GNW tenten could work. If you upgrade rin to 3 stars, she'd be a good support as well.

Hashirama NY is a great alternative to masked man. As for another lineup, I would recommend Choji GNW BT, Hashirama NY, and Guy/Shisui. You can get choji fragments from the recruit's exchange with ninja points from survival to help work towards his breakthrough.

For PVP, Choji GNW P1, Hashirama NY, Main, and Guy could work. For the main I'd recommend Anbu Tactics. Getting Choji GNW's BT if you don't have it would be good.

Itachi NAS, Kimimaro Halloween, and Genma can work. I'd recommend Fire main with ninjutsu urge and exceptional power. You'll want to get Itachi's combo off each round to allow for him to get buffed. It looks like this post is old though, so ninjas may have changed resulting in a better team being available.

I would try Choji GNW p1, Hashirama NY p2, and Guy p4. With lightning, I'd run Anbu tactics, calm mind when unlocked, lightning armor, and bloodthirsty demon. Getting Choji's breakthrough would be a massive improvement to him as well.

[Lineup] Returning Player Needs Help With LIneup
"
Kakashi Summer, Hashirama NY, and Rin would work. For lightning main, Anbu Tactics, Wind style blast cut/lightning armor, calm mind, and wind style clones/bloodthirsty would work. Kakashi chases to high float, so the lightning tiger works well. You can run lightnings repulse to knockdown to get to hashirama's combo, or run the low float to repulse main chase to get to kakashi from his own mystery. Some great ninjas to work towards recruiting and 4 starring for their breakthrough are Madara Edo Tensei Release, and Naruto sage of six paths. With their breakthroughs, they are great ninjas in the current meta. 4 star Shisui Susano'o is also a great breakthrough to work towards, however he tends to be very expensive.
