Nine-Star Treasure Hunt Period: Jan 18- Jan 24 How To: a) You can participate in Nine-Star Treasure Hunt during the event period. b) Nine-star Treasure Hunting, the initial star level is 0, each star upgrade consumes star upgrade cards, the number of star upgrade cards consumed is different depending on the star level. There is a chance that the star upgrade will not be successful, and the star level will be reduced by 1. You c*e the star protection card, and the star level will not be reduced when you fail. Different star levels require different consumptions of star protection cards. c) Players can receive silver prizes when they reach 3, 4, and 5 stars, gold prizes when they reach 6, 7, and 8 stars, and diamond prizes when they reach 9 stars. The star level will be reset after receiving the rewards. d) Points will be awarded for failing to upgrade the star and receiving rewards. There are some issues related to todays update that the devs are currently working on fixing, so maintenance will be delayed (at least for UK/HK servers for now). We will update if there's any major developments on this issue, but as of this moment ETA is unknown as to when the issue will be resolved.

Its not hard coded to a specific level, its ratio based on your server/cluster population. Its not always the best thing to freeze, a lot of times people think freezing is the best, and everyone goes "Baaaaa" and freezes, ending up with an insanely competitive lower tier sage which is dominated by a few wolves also freezing and feasting on all the sheep. Adjust your level accordingly based on your power and server./cluster whale level density. Sometimes its easier to farm at the top tier sage, sometimes its easier in the middle. It really depends on your individual position vs the power players in your server.
