This would make it a bit easier to find the particular units we want to target especially with teams with 7+ units per lineup in them such as in Ninja Exam. Reply

Game sees them as 1 team while for real they are in 2 team

Yeah what Mertsi posted sorry for late reply.

Seems like this occurs for certain PvE battles; for instance, when fighting in Rescue the Jinchuriki the teams are in fact separated but in Ninja Exam and Nature Training they are not separated.
