the whales that demand merges just cuz they are bored is true beyond believe, i'v seen it first hand and who was to suffer? the rest of the players, not only we have to deal with extra population when we had FAIRLY GOOD activity but now we have less chances to most "competitive" events such as ino flowers or whatnot and on top of that the usual plunders and drama that comes with them(and ofc a lot of people quit cuz of that) and everything, why? cuz a .... whale "wanted competition" im not even gonna talk about those strange low power accounts that enthuse them to ask for merges constantly...

the system is technically there to "spot a whale", just as how plundering works, that you cannot plunder 15 levels below your level the same can be applied for power, a % in correlation with the next in rank for example if the whale passes a +50% of next rank then it should be marked as such
