Hello community. Around a year ago we were presented with the options of adding percentage tactics, yet with our *ulative effort we managed to reject this feature. Or as it turns out, the feature might just have been postponed. Today on discord Tobei added a link to google form which ask us some basic questions, as well as if we want to get this feature implemented. As you may see, he specifically adds that this feature was rejected before, let that be a hint for future read. Some of you know what this feature does and for those who don't- it's not just a new, ordinary power feature. Currently all of the power features (except charms, but they arent even remotely close in scaling to what tactics do) simply add stats to you ninja, so the ammount they get isnt that noticeable. % tactics however are different. They dont add a flat value, rather than that they multiply it. This feature gets increasingly more powerful, impactful and unfair the more you invest in it. And we all know who can invest the most.


Because its multiplicative value, it benefits players who are already high BP(higher stats) more, than those who have lower bp (lower stats).

Quick example (values are made up, just to make you notice how huge the difference is):

Player A has 25k attack and gets 50% bonus. He ends up with 37.5k attack

Player B has 10k attack and gets 50% bonus. He ends up with 15k attack.

The difference between those two players went from 15k attack to 22.5k. You might as well assume, that because player A recharge alot and player B is just a small spender, player B propably wont even reach 50% boost. Which makes that difference even bigger.


You know what happens when you see fully stacked edo hiruzen in SWB- if you are slightly lower power than him, you start with 30% of your initial hitpoints. Now with such power boost from tactics, you die. Simple as that, ninja that moves first, wins. If currently you have (almost) even match versus someone, and that someone ends up having better tactics page, you will not have even fight anymore.


This is general look of how this works. This feature doesn't benefit FTP players, small and medium spenders. It only benefits heavy spenders, as long as they move first. And those already have no competition, it just makes the game harder for everybody else for no reason. Doesn't matter if you play on old or new server, this feature scales too hard for vast majority of playerbase. This might be a slight exaggeration on my side, but please consider this. Ask questions, surely players that had seen this system in action will give you more detailed info. From my point of view: you all know how we as the community like new content. This content was rejected for a good reason before. Please, vote against this.


Ps. If anyone from CN or DE version has access to math related to % tactics, please add detailed description in the comments.

whoa imagine chiyo with %tactics; this shouldn't happen, it'll just lead to the game to become broken/unconsolidated as it basically contradicts the idea of getting flatpower as players will only want to invest in the % increase this'll have a knock on effect as charms will become rarer <- like battle armour/tactics is currently which will only lead to further powerups becoming nulled


stop releasing new stuff with the facade of increasing power because it'll only render current options useless in the prolonged future


this will make it almost impossible for new players in 2019 to increase their powers as they'd become perplexed with the plethora of power + events making them realise they'll never get to the level of those who were around since naruto online 1-5.0 and as they level up they'll soon realise this search for increasing power is never ending and won't be happy playing the game but rather sweating to increase their power


to conclude this game shouldn't be a monster fest of 1000000k+players but a rather tactical game where the player chooses how they should go abouts in creating formations/teams and battling for fun :3

It's a shame that it has to be a player posting this on the forums.
So either our opinion doesn't matter and it won't change anything, or someone isn't doing their job properly.

Forums are supposed to be the way you get feedback from your costumers, not some 3rd party software.

1st moves c*ready wipe out an entire field (narutos 6 paths and hiruzens) and they wanna make them even stronger? If that system comes it's gonna be terrible, hiruzens damage from whales will be off the roof

the problem is, as scarlettblue said, that the feature unbalances too much the game towards attacking stats.

after is introduced you will lose in 10 seconds even with somebody that owns only 10% more power than you if he owns initiative over you and is ultrabuffed, not only against who owns 50k+ more power than you.

the feature makes literally useless and unviable any kind of defensive/healing lineups even if you are on par or slightly higher power than your enemy.

everybody will be literally compelled in choosing the overstacking move 1 policy and to choose only ninjas with high scaling standard attacks/mysteries (so edo hiruzen or agk will be good, 100 times better than now, while naruto six paths or jonin minato won't be good, just to state it brightly).

If you face someone that 1shots you it makes no difference, agreed. But it makes so every single matchup more or less looks like this. Scarlettblue gave a good example.

At that point Kakuzu starts doing that, thats not a solution, it's making a broken game even more broken, because you stack broken ninja on top of a broken system ;)

No meaningful power function in the game is limited only to the things you can obtain from daily events. It's obvious items for %tactics would be available for cp/ingots if, god forbid, this system gets implemented

Last time they proposed it we didn't like it and they didn't add it.

I don't see what changed.

That said, maybe you didn't understand how it works.

A flat % boost to all the primary stats means that atk and ninjutsu will be the only stats that matter and that initiative will be mandatory for everything.

Why? Because the damage we land depends more or less linearly on atk/nin and goes more or less with the square root of defense/resistance.


The very very basic formula is something like A*D^0.5.

So what happens if both A and D gets a boost of 50%? That the damage you suffer, by fighting a copy of yourself, is 22% higher.

And if the boost is 150%?

That the damage you suffer is 60% higher.

Did you get it now?

And this is a problem not only for f2p and low powers.

Why?

Whale vs whale, same power, same level of tactics%. One slightly faster.

Result: right now the battle goes to round 5+ and maybe who is slower may win thanks to supports and better skill. After this is implemented the faster one wins round 1/2 regardless everything else.

No defense, no support, no cc, no shield works.
