*Nods*, you made me realized something. I really shouldn't need to use auto complete ever again XD now I feel dumb LOL.
Yh, I didnt do arena missions for a long time at the start bc I was confused.
I only found out about training later.
xD
i have had to use the weirdest *.
But why would ppl retreat in ranked tho.
Everyone needs the points.
Some whales have been kind enough to retreat for me tho.
:)

People retreat because when you've played long enough you know what teams you can & can't face, Initiative is also a big factor- there's team you can beat if you out initiate and teams you can't, if I'm queuing and they standard first & I don't I can't win if they out initiate me, I retreat as it's faster to retreat & queue up again than sit through a fight you know is lost.
People believe the game takes skill, which is an odd concept, it's more knowledge ba
Simple solution: Turn off battle chat. I usually just use group chat when in arena in case a group mate needs me for something.
I'm a "whale", I don't even see what you write to me in arena, ever. You can either fight me, or you can leave. I don't like arena as it is. My goal is to finish the requirements and leave. You begging me to win just means you or others have more of a chance of hitting me again later if I give you the win every time I see you. I'm not going to just sit there and let everyone that has no chance get free wins all day. I don't know you, I'm not obligated to give you a win just because you beg for it. In Matsuri, sure I'll give away wins because you only need 5 wins and it's a timed event. It's harder to win when you are lower levels/power. In arena, most power is normalized and you have a month to do arena, if there are too many "whales", then give arena a break and check back later.

Yeah don't do arena or another pvp anymore
but still, when we've done in arena, we can read what they says, and we cant do nothing, that's mean we just let them did that over and over again.
in other game, when people start curse me, i curse him more,i like to give them a lesson rather than report them about misbehavior act,but not in this game, they will ban me ahiihiiiahiiiihiii...
ignore battle chat is the way to go
that's not a good way
imagine u'r little brother play this game, and find someone try to bully u'r brother with aggressive language and u cant do nothing or u just ignore it. Each person r different, some takes it serious some don't care about it. If u read in misbehavior thread, u will know

Every (online) games test your mentality.
There are a lot more games with toxic players and those are worse than Naruto Online.
You can't really go through every single one, every chat.
The best way you can do is teach them personally and strengthen their morals and game mentality.
To block chat is a one of good ways to just focus on your game / team.
Most of time I was on "group" tab anyway, hardly even looked at world chat.
---
Sometimes I played better in "some" game when I turned off the chat.

I'm agree with u'r statements but if we have an option to disable or enable battle chat in any PVP match then there's no problem. Case Closed !

Well I agree with this- why not an option to turn it off for everyone who want to avoid toxic people there?
Arena is stressful place and some people can't deal with it and gets angry too easy then let it all go on chat~~ there are also people who are just that bad in general to insult and make fun of you simply because they can.
And then there are those who just makes you laugh with hate attempts. "you **** whale- stop taking money from mommy!!1!!1" (me looking at my team of mei, yagura, han and complete lack of medal or anything and being the said mom) "ok :) "
Anyway, for now it's best to just switch to other chat and/or don't think too much of anything they say there. You don't know those people and they have no meaning in your life- why would their hate should?
Or reporting them if you have time and want to but... I also believe that some serious changes about punishing toxic behavior would make all them feel less like "I can do whatever I want and what you gonna do? report me? hahaha they won't do anything anyway :D"
Side note- my battle chat is disabling on it's own a lot recently- why doesn't it happen to toxic people, I ask xD But anyway- to that person who talked to me yesterday during matsuri- I'm sorry luv T_T I wanted to reply but chat was like NOPE.
No solution will ever get put in, because it takes programming to change the way the game works. You can solve arena problems many ways by either:
A) no point loss until you reach 6 paths rank.
B) Local server matching only until you reach 6 paths rank.
C) Players who never reached 6 paths rank the previous month only match to other players who have never reached 6 paths rank the previous month.
The solution to bonds is to give a 10% stat bonus for each loss every day like sage (resets 5am or with a win). The problem with bonds now, is you can be an 80k power player and try for 2 hours and not get a single opponent that you can beat. But, if after 10 losses you are virtually a 160k player, you can finally get a win. It will take more work for you than the 150k player, but it won't be impossible like it current is.
I do recommend to report those toxic players in the Misbehavior Thread. Just an FYI for everybody, misbehavior reports are dealt with accordingly.
This thread has shown that Arena is already a stressful place.
I literally can't wait to see what will happen in Zenith, when you basically have only 1 week to play each month.
U can now auto do arena missions using skill research. So no more trying to win using funny teams. :P
isnt this only available on weekends?
i might be wrong but i don't think it's available for the whole week. still gotta brave through the arena some days
about the people begging for wins...well ig i can understand if it happens in training arena, but ranked...that's a whole 'nother level of desperate.
when people say they need a win in ranked, my auto response is "yea me too u ain't special" lul. if u tell them "no" fast enough they usually retreat :)
i personally still want battle chat in arena. communicating with players is part of strategy (morale/bluffs/etc. it's an mmorpg yea, not just an rpg), and sometimes u just want to drop a geniune 'ggwp' here and there. if you're just dead set on avoiding everyone chatting in arena, just mute that channel before you head in
I don't disagree that the Arena is frustrating & sometimes people are going to beg for a win- sometimes they really just want to get it over with, it's a sad state but unfortunately that's Arena.
What I disagree with the most is this notion that because you don't want to see it, we should just out right mute everyone, or completely abolish a chat window because of your own inability to just not read the chat. I have some nice convocations in Battle chat sometimes, especially in decisive bonds & the best is when people are willing to throw in some friendly banter or even flame when they're salty, I don't take it personally & just chuckle- learn to step back & self reflect, put yourself in their shoes.
It's got it's ups & downs, but seriously if you don't want to read it hide the window.
I just realized this function has options to mute any chat we want. but i think this function doesn't work,i just tested,i muted private chat, but still my friend can PM me LOL

Holy, so it does, problem solved LMAO they just have to make it work- or maybe it works for battles, test it.
