This year's Konoha's bonfire festival was one of best from past few years- weather was fantastic and many people joined- for dances, food and fun with friends. And everyone were enjoying a special evening like this- but now it was already getting real late and a lot of people left in joyous moods- be it for the party itself or a little bit too much of sake, in some cases.

Breeze, being tiny bit tipsy but doing her best to not admitt it, was making her way through group of people who was still there, with ocassional swings of hips and dance moves, to music still playing in the background, giggling and seems to also looking for someone.

'Etty~~ Etty~~ where are you, little kitten~~' she singed, looking around and giggled again, seeing Azure sitting on a log, near fire, being covered in blushes to the tips of her ears, while few steps away, lying in a big puddle of water and completely soaked wet, was a boy from Kumogakure, visiting Konoha from some time and following Azure with dreamy face and showers of compliments, from the moment they met.

Breeze laughed at vision of this poor boy trying to hug or kiss her blue-haired friend and getting washed away by panic release of water jutsu. And still laughing she half walked, half danced away, untill finally spotted the person she was looking for.

'Aaaah, there you are, Etty-chan!~~' she hugged surpised fire-nin from behind.

'Hmmphmm?' he tried to ask but failed with mouth full of baked marhmallow. It took him a moment to chew and swallow it untill he was able to speak.

'Who's Etty?'

Breeze giggled again.

'Scarlet, Scarletty, Letty, Etty-chan!'

Boy rised eyebrow and escaped from arms of taller girl.

'You are drunk, sis.'

'Ohoho, no, sweetie. It takes wayyyy more to make me drunk. But I know someone who have a lot lighter head, hihihi!'

'Don't look at me. I don't drink. And don't breath on me, I hate that smell of alcohol, bleeeeh!'

Breeze laughed again, with a sound that was melting hearts of many boys.

'Not you, hahahaha. But did you see our cute tsundere princess?'

Scarlet glanced at Breeze, smiling widely at him now.

'I did earlier. With a bunch of his fangirls.' he snarled.

'Awwwwh, someone's jealous~~'

'Pfft. Who cares. And it was really awesome party, don't you think?'

'Ah, yes! Great evening! May I kidnap you for one more dance? Hahaha~'

'I was dancing for past 3 hours, I don't feel my legs and I'm running solely on sugar now, haha.' he swinged another marshmallow on a stiick. 'But why you said you know someone who gets drunk so easy? Who?'

'Oh yes- seems that our little sparkling-kun got a little too much~~' she whistled.

'Huh? Midnight is drunk?' Scarlet frowned.

'Mhm. I think it's those girls' fault.' she paused, thinking for a moment and patting her nose with finger. 'I think it's better to take him to his home- won't you take care of that and * him safely?'

'Why me?...' Scarlet turned annoyed face on smiling again Breeze. 'I swear... you are just cruel...'

'Oh c'mon, just help him get home. Do it for your beloved Breezy~'

Scarlet sighed. 'Is he really so drunk that he can't go on his own?' he took a sip from a cup in his hand. 'it's just stupiid, I swear... I will go, OK, OK!' he add, seeing the stare of Breeze.'But did you see Crimson- star of the party? Just look at him shining, hehe.' Scarlet pointed at friend, currently showing off with lifting a log with 2 girls sitting on it, making everyone applaud him and girls squeal. 'Go get him, sis.' he smirked.

Breeze stared at Crimson with a little, pinky blush on cheeks.

'You know what... you are right. I'm going.' she fixed her kimono and took her way to Crimson. 'Have fun, Etty-chan~~!' she chirped to Scarlet.

'Fun, yeah...' He put last marshmallow in mouth, staring at bonfire. Flames, smaller already, were reflecting in his blood-red eyes for a moment, untill he sighed and moved to find Midnight. 'Yhou ahg dhe-' he tried to speak, then swallowed sweet before choking and continued to thin air 'You are the lucky one, sis. Not me.'

After few minutes he finally found him- sitting all silent and visibly confused, between two girls, who seemed to have a lot of fun from this situation. Scarlet was amazed at that look- first time he saw Midnight in such state: his hair was a total mess, face was saying that he doesn't have idea what's going on at all and letting those girls snuggling to his arms. With ocassional hiccup as a finishing touch for the scene.

'Oi, you two!' Scarlet growled at girls. 'You are going to get in troubles- none of you 3 is allowed to drink yet. And let him go. I don't know how you managed to do that but seriously...'

'Chill, nobody gets hurt, okay?' said one of girls and other stiicked out tongue at Scarlet.

That's it...

'Ok... then maybe someone should get hurt...' he said with a tone of warning in his voice and started to form seals with hands.

Girls stared with wide open eyes and mouths at deadly flames comming their way.

Or, as Scarlet saw it- staring at thin air, filled with just his genjutsu.

He laughed shortly, seeing them run away in panic. then sighed looking at Midnight, who tried to focus sight on him.

'Man... how did it even happened...'

'H-huh?...'

'Nothing, sheesh... Just come- we're going home.'

Scarlet helped him to get up and proped up, letting him lean on his shoulder. After few steps, he noticed breeze- grabbing Crimson by shirt and pulling him closer for a kiss, while a small crowd was cheering like crazy.

'Haha, you go, sis.' Scarlet laughed. 'But you still gonna pay me for this...' he continued walk with Midnight hanging on him.

'I do n-not give you... mmmoney... no.'

'Not you, baka.' Scarlet sighed loudly.

Way to Midnight's home wasn't easiest but they finally reached the door of it.

'Okay man, give me keys and up to comfy bed you go.'

Midnight patted pockets with slow, clumsy movements.

'Not.'

'Huh?'

'Not here.'

'What do you mean... let me check.' Scarlet searched throughhis clothesm while lightning-nin was staring at him, with hands rised and sight of comicaly intense concentration on his face.

'You arrre... hmmmm?...'

'I'm Scarlet. How are you so drunk, for all the gods sake?? I can't believe it...' cried out Scarlet. 'Proffessional ninja, elite ANBU... for my sweet sitting part... And where are your keys? i can't leave you like that here...' Scarlet rubbed tired eyes and took a deep breath. 'Ok, you are coming with me, to my place. Let's go.'

'S-s-sorry...'

'Just keep moving.'

Scarlet opened door to his small flat, where he living alone for a bigger part of his life.

Midnight managed to miraculously stand by his own, while other boy was closing door and turning on lights.

'Sheesh... and it was such a nice party. Oh well... You will take my bed, I can sleep on armchair in kitchen. Just- don't throw up on anything... Come on now, I'm tired and just wan-' he paused suddenly, when Midnight came closer and grabbed his chin, lifting it and making him back off at door behind him.

Electric-blue eyes were staring at Scarlet's face for a moment, making fire-nin blush a little bit.

'You are...'

'Scarlet, told you....'

'...pretty...'

'Huh.' dark haired boy stared back, not really able to move or say anything more.

He froze completely when taller boy wrapped arm around his waist and leaned down to his face.

Is this for real...

His heart seemed to stop for a moment, when he got so close that Scarlet could feel hot breath on his cheek... and instantly got hit by awfull stench of alcohol, making him jolt and regain his senses back. He pushed other boy away, cussing under his breath.

'Ugggh... how much I hate it...' he groaned, then looked at surprised friend, swaying on legs, in front of him. 'And... I hate you!'

He moved toward Midnight, grabbed him by arm and pulled into bedroom, then forced him to sit down.

'How could you get yourself into such state? That you go and do such... what was it just now, huh?...' Scarlet glanced at Midnight, who were having problems focusing vision on him.'Oh... I know... "Pretty", huh?... You are so drunk that you mistook me for one of those girls? Seriously... just... go die...' his voice cracked and he cussed again, feeling tears appearing in corners of his eyes.

'I-I'm not... no...'

'Just go to sleep man.'

Midnight was looking at his own knees for longer moment, opening and closing mouth a bit.

'Scarlet. I'm sorrrry... Yes, drunk.' he said, rising eyes on other boy. 'But not... mistaken...'

'What...'

Scarlet could hear only his own, loud heartbeat, when he was staring at suddenly blushing Midnight.

But then loud knocking at the door, made him flinch. He took deep breath and opened door with shaking hand... just to be welcomed by big smile and cheerish laugh of Breeze.

'Hey, hey boys~' she chirped. 'I forgot to tell you- Midnight gave me his keys, when asked about you, to not lose them. And, hahaha, I might have forgot to give you. Here you go~'

Scarlet took keys from her, unable to speak for a solid moment. he noticed Crimson, standing on a roda in front of house and waving at him with big smile. He waved back unconsciously.

'He was asking for me?'

But Breeze didn't seem to hear that whisper, as she run back to earth-nin, wishing Scarlet a good night and *ing him kisses on the way.

He closed the door again and slowly walked to the bedroom... just to see Midnight snoring loudly on his bed.

'Seriously?...' he laughed shortly. 'No... I'm too tired to deal with such stuff, hahaha... Good night, you baka...'

He went to the kitchen and currled on armchair.

'Oh man... that was a good party, heh...' he smiled to himself, wishing to just fall asleep fast and laughing internally at vision of Midnight's hangover tomorrow morning.
