The Bonfire Festival

The summer was coming to a close, and this meant that it was finally time for the annual grand bonfire festival in Konoha! Everyone was excited, especially the five most talented Genin of the year, Scarlet, Azure, Crimson, Midnight and Breeze.

There was only one problem: none of them had dance partners!

"Maybe we should just dance with each other? I wouldn't really mind..." Azure suggested to her friends with bright-red cheeks.

Midnight, the smartest of the five, immediately replied, "But there's five of us. That means one will have to go without. We can't just abandon one of our own."

It was at that point, that Crimson decided to take the fall for the team. "I don't mind. Look at me anyway, I'm a big hulking mass of muscle. There's no way I'd be any decent at dancing, hahaha!"

Breeze frowned. "Crim, are you sure? It's not fair if we leave you out."

Crimson waved his hand dismissively and scratched the back of his head. "Don't worry about it, guys. I'm perfectly happy sitting here and watching. You guys make sure to have some fun, okay?"

Scarlet stood up from the log he and the others were sat on and clapped his hands. "Okay, guys. Let's do what Crim says. But, if you feel left out, just give us a shout and we'll swap with you, okay? This is supposed to be a festival, after all. No point in coming if we're not all having fun."

"I will, Scar," Crimson smiled.

With that said, Breeze went off to dance with Midnight while Scarlet and Azure paired up with each other. Crimson remained on the log with his arms resting on his knees propping his head up.

"This stinks... No one's even strong enough to dance with me... I don't want to hurt anyone," Crimson sighed.

A few seconds passed before a strange noise filled his ears. "ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA!"

Crimson turned around only to see a cloud of dust flying towards him. Just before it impacted with him, the dust settled and he could see Rock Lee standing in front of him... on his hands, not his feet.

"I, the most handsome Genin in Konoha, heard your cries for help!" Lee shouted.

"What the...?" Crimson was lost for words.

"As it so happens, I too, am missing a dance partner capable of matching my excellent moves!" Lee announced as he began shaking his body around.

"What are you getting at?" Crimson asked as he tried to avoid eye contact.

Lee smiled and jumped using his hands before he did a triple-backflip and landed on his feet. He grinned and put a hand on his hip before giving Crimson a thumbs up. "Be my dance partner!"

Crimson held his forehead in his hand and groaned. "You know what, why not? What's the worst that could happen?"

"The worst? That we end up making no one else want to dance in fear of our amazing skills, hahaha!" Lee laughed before he grabbed Crimson's arm and pulled him by the fire.

As predicted, everyone did stop dancing, but not out of fear of being too shameful to continue dancing, but more out of a deep-rooted terror of Lee when he had some alcohol in him! It was a miracle that the whole place wasn't torn down by his and Crimson's energetic 'dance moves'.

However, everyone could happily say that today might have been the most eventful bonfire festival in the past decade, that was for sure!
