okay wait I think I misunderstood your question haha. If what you're talking about is the amount of time it took them to complete all the levels of ninja exam i.e. 45 days since the server started, then yes it does somehow feel unlikely for it to happen. But I don't know for sure.

You can not in any way be able, overall now with the new chases-weekend rotation, to recruit lee eight inner gates in 42 days, so you cannot beat exam 140 with 0 nerfs with less than 75k power and if you cannot beat it you cannot either go on to 180.

(Is possible at 65k power with a ton of luck with mb blitz team, but with 2-3 nerfs, not with 0 nerfs)

You were talking about that guy right, jaredz? Well im not in the same server as him but i do know him from the SWB(and i must say i dont like to be his opponent). I think he already has that power(around 70K) way back(maybe 3 or 4 months ago), so i guess he spent a lot to have that much power and ninjas earlier than the others. It's just that he stayed at that and never really improved much his BP.

You can beat 180 with 53k power.

So not much of a stretch that it is possible.

i beat exam lv 180 with 56K BP ( had one Minato Jonin for it= > but v 180 and 2 or 3 lv aroudn taht liek a peace of caek wiht minato jonin). The hardest part just some of exam and when it hard it took , me doing repentance around 20 times or more.

That before v 4.0. I dont know when ver 4.0. My friend still had hard time when BP 70K so he not even fin* coz he thisnk its hard and wait till his BP near 80K (v 4.0) .

SO DONT JUDGE OTHER FINISH EXAM BY BP( Battle Power).

EXAM is a robot. they do what they programmed and their position always same, so there some suitable ninja to kil them.

There is only 1 lineup able to beat that exam with 0 nerfs at a power lower than 70k and is lee eight inner gates, kurenai, iruka, cf. Every other lineup fails with 0 nerfs at less than 70k power.

The guy passed exam 140 at day 40, is not possible to own lee eight inner gates at day 40.

Well..you could get him a lot in black market, that'd take some luck.

I got 8 Gates Lee in less than a month. From chase missions and black market.

But let's be real, you don't know what team the guy was running anyways.

when i started playing the game yes, now no, given the fact not every weekend the weekend chase missions are avaliable and given the fact the number of available ninjas is way wider now.

But yes, you are right, what we can know about the question asked by the OP is that the guy simply had 70-75k power on day 40, so yeah, is quite possible to beat it even without eight inner gates lee.
