I am basically making this thread to bring attention to this feature that is sorely lacking at the moment. Now, I know our version as some differences with the others, but in China the skillbooks system is far more fleshed out. To be fair, their version of the game is farther along, but at about the same point in time in the games evolution in china they already had alot more thann us. Firstly, an NPC entirely dedicated to the function (A Tsunade standing next to Fukurokumaru in town), instances that yield items that can be turned into books and more importantly, more ninjas with the function activated. We need this! Updating older ninjas with skillbreaks is good for everyone, it would create more diversity and add a layer of activities people could perform.

Now we could argue that this post is meant for a suggestion thread, buuut I really wanted to bring attention to this. This is not merely a suggestion of things that could be, this feature already exists and it could be in the game as we speak. I didnt want this post to be lost in "suggestion thread" limbo I want everyone to see its possible and start requesting it en masse. Bring on the skill breakthrough revolution!

You do know that the update to the skill book system could have been implemented after the initial 4.0 updates. Only players on China who were active between 3.0 and 4.0 would truly know if they had more updates or skill books than we do. If there are players that have stuck with playing the China server and played with our server, they can compare between the servers and determine if there are differences between the time it takes for updates to come. At this moment, nobody has stated this to my knowledge. If China did get the skill breaks/Tsunade NPC/skill book crafting updates after 4.0 then we shouldn't be worrying since we'll on our way to 4.0 since Germany just got it.

You actually can see the evolution of the chinese servers since 2014, the Youtuber Scionstorm, however misguided he is, has been playing the game since before 4.0 changes were implemented in China. Simply go look at this persons earlier videos of Chinese Naruto Online and you can see the missing systems that were not implemented. By looking through the earlier videos of the chinese server, through chinese youtubers and Scionstorm, I established a simili timeline of the game and how it progressed in China vs our own. So I have solid knowledge that this feature is very incomplete in our current version of the game. Germany's version of the game, patch 4.0, does not have any changes pertaining to the skill breakthrough system btw, which is also part of why I created this thread to raise awereness.

I have selected a video link from Scionstorm, all credits to him, to show the early version of the skil lbreakthrough system in china over a year ago. Also you can pay attention to the systems in the game and clearly see the similarities with our version. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4B*TgOJtBk&t= (the link I selected does not pass the forums filter because it has two capital X between the B and the T, please add them to the link instead of the *)

I'm aware of Scion's chinese videos but since he did several videos on other mmos during that time so it was hard to track. But thanks to you (a legit thank you), I decided not being lazy and found a video from his account and compared it to fu's skill book/break videos and you were right about the updates. Heck they had several skillbooks for other ninjas when summon cultivation came to their server. But if I were to think like Oasis, it could be for longevity purposes meaning they release updates individually to ration the updates for future events but that doesn't help those players who want new updates frequently.

You are very right about the longevity part, that is often Oasis' MO and that is why I want the community to push this system harder. I believe it has far more long term benefits to implement more skillbooks now since they benefit somewhat the f2p players in particular. Most of the early skillbroken ninjas don't impact the game in a huge way but some of them can and it would be some added fun in alot of diferent modes of play, eiher pvp or pve.

I am not saying Oasis dont have future plans for this feature, what I'm saying is for the community to push them so we can make it happen sooner, because we can. It is possible, if we want it enough!

So, again, lets go everyone, skillbreaks is the best thing you didnt know you wanted. Come on Oasis, SKILLBREAKs WHERE?!

I have two skill breakthrough books for Naruto, but I can't even use them because it's not even the correct book. I hope they will add a feature to the other servers soon.

Just for you to know. When they add Skill Breakthrough (which was even before they add Jinchuuriki Treasure, game was only 8-9 months old), they add it to like 10 different chars. After few months they again add it to about 10 new chars. Only after that they start to add them to 1-2 chars per month. And it was very easy to get books, they was like almost free.

P.S. On Cn no such thing as 4.0. There still 3.21 as i remember.

They are certainly being lazy with this feature, about longevity or not they could add even say 1 new ninja per month, that would be something. Oasis also brings updates in different orders for different version but being this slow is hurting their player base, mostly f2p players in my opinion and that's maybe why they don't care as much (or at all). I'm p2w and still have some ingots/coupons only ninja to use coz I simply don't have the time and I like to make the odd video with them. I do see however alot of moaning from f2p players who just can't get new ninjas to mess about with and significantly improve their fun playing, these skillbreaks are all they have been looking forward to in a while and some sadly get to quit playing before they get the chance to try them.

Not all updates majority of the time initially help f2ps. For example, a p2w or a f2p that has been on an older server and been saving seal scrolls will be more likely to get a super rare from a treasure than a f2p. This also applies to ninjas you can get from events. Also, about the f2p players not getting new ninjas comment, it really depends how much time are they going to compensate for not paying into the game in order to see results. They also need to use their resources smart rather than spend it just because they can't wait. A 4 month alt account of mine manged to build a team with roshi and sage after making use of the rebates and figuring out where to farm items.

I agree but part of my point is these skillbroken ninjas are characters players already have so being able to get those ninjas back into play while saving for that super rare or rare is a great addition and adds some more variety.

I was always aware China did things differently th*, but I think it would be detrimental to the game not to add things like the Tsunade npc and the "skillbooks treasure". At the very least, adding meaningful breakthrough ninjas like Itachi, Kurenai (we got her, yay!) and Yamato that have legit impact in the game should be a priority. I dont expect Gaara, Sage Naruto, the 2 Kage super rares and the gold&silver brothers anytime soon, because they are relatively recent additions in China, but the ones I previously mentioned have absolutely no reason not being in the game, they add so many possibilities!

Personnally, I have been waiting for Itachi for ages, hopefully this new trend of adding breakthroughs in pairs keeps happening. This whole thread was started to bring attention to this forgotten system that adds so much richness to the game. Keep pushing threads like these to the top and lets show Oasis we want our books!

Actually, you wrong about Gaara. He was in Skill Breakthrough on CN pretty early. They just add new Breakthroughs to him later. You already can Breakthrough his skills on German (his and Sasori).

"You learn something new everyday". What i meant about Gaara was his most recent incarnation, I didnt know he had an earlier update and I also didnt know Germany had that update. I personnally wouldnt mind getting a stronger Gaara, since mine is sitting at 5 stars in my inventory gathering dust.

The real problem about Skillbooks is misinformation.

I.E. Gaara's abilities aren't that interesting until the Skill Mutation (the Y ones). He'll get really good once you'll get his Y+2 mystery (60% atk nin to Wind ninjas, hello angel Konan) and his Y+2 standard (shield 2 people in your team each turn).

adding immobile to both the mystery and the chase is not a slight difference...

There is misinformation about most of the game, Oasis releases things on its own timetable and post absolutely nothing aside from the weekly update. They break up new systems in several pieces to keep things going longer but they dont share much information about the systems or future plans to update them. Getting information from the chinese server is always patchy as it comes from non chinese youtubers, savvy players who grabs info from here and there like I did and people who played on the chinese servers but dont grasp either chinese or english completely. All these people can only convey some information, the task to get everything in a single compedium is pretty big and no one person should be asked to do it alone. The guy who did the translations for the breakthrough skills is a good example, he did a big job and that was only one system. So unless a community effort is made to gather all the information about the game into a single compedium, we are kinda stuck in this "misinformation" you mentioned.

Well, i'm already translate almost whole game from CN. But only on my own language (which is Russian). It tooks a very long time (1.5 years, plus they add new things every week).
