the event is not that bad, the main issue is that the number of tries for the reward it gives in average is too low. If they increase the number of rolls to 6-7 then would be an acceptable feature in comparison with the other weekend events.

P.S. the event itself is quite rigged, since the outcomes we actually get are almost always outside the 8-13 range (the 70% chance zone around the mean value of 10.5 for 3d6).
